Anonymous & The LatinHacker Group - #OpSaveMedicaid

#Senator #McConnell and Senator #Gardner, this video comes to you, courtesy of
#Anonymous and #TheLatinHackerGroup.

The main Civil Rights, disability rights organization of the United States, #ADAPT,
has been working for more than four decades to ensure people with
disabilities have the right to live in the community and receive the care
they need to get their basic needs met, like bathing, toileting, getting
dressed and being, active members of their community.

These brave citizens, have tried to meet with you about their issues, in the summer
of 2016 several members of ADAPT were arrested at your Denver office, asking
for you to meet with them about the Disability Integration Act.  In January of 2017, even more ADAPT members were arrested, once again at your Denver office asking for a meeting to discuss, the changes coming to the Healthcare System.

Today, we mark the 18th anniversary of the Olmstead decision by the Supreme Court of
the United States, in that decision the Supreme Court ruled that people with
disabilities have the right to live in the community and receive services they need through Medicaid Programs.

Today, the U.S. Senate also released a draft copy of the healthcare plan that will
be presented next week, they were told that the Senate plan would be softer
than the House #AmericanHealthCareAct, they were told that you, Senator
Gardner, were influencing the process.

Unfortunately, the draft Bill, released on, June 22nd, 2017, was as scary as the House bill.
Changing the Medicaid funding structure will lead to people losing services.  There is no question that the goal of this is to cut federal spending.

If you cut federal spending, it will reduce services in the states.

They finally had the opportunity to talk to you in May, while in Washington DC.

Senator Gardner: Issues on disability law and Medicaid, certainly come up in every
discussion, they have on Medicaid, they actually agree with much of what you
said.

However, the bill introduced in draft form today does not address, the very issues, you discussed with ADAPT in May.  If this bill does not get heavily amended, as the disability community is demanding, that you vote no, this community and many other populations will
suffer the consequences.
